Challenge

The increase home-office jobs and online social and recreational activities has lead people to a sedentary lifestyle. This trend has caused that there are spaces in the offices that are not being used. Therefore Sitap aims to promote a more active lifestyle through physical activity.

Methodology

The main requirement of this project was to deliver a comprehensive proposal that considers the desirability of the market and a financially feasible business model. We start the design process with research and prototyping to be able to validate and redesign the concept with potential users and clients.

At the end of the project, we had:

- Documentary research

- Semi-structured interviews with users and potential clients

- Prototyping and validation

- Business model and finance

- Branding and marketing

Challenges and learning

Through role playing and service walkthrough we realized that people prefer that being active does not require travel and that the people who participate and the type of activity contribute to wanting to participate. The project required making decisions under pressure and seeking solutions to unforeseen events (for example, moving the prototype of an experience online instead of face-to-face). We put empathy into practice within the team and put together a strategy to take advantage of the different soft and technical skills of the members.

Video

A service aimed to companies that, due to home office, have underused space in the office. We have a B2B business model where companies and postural gymnastics and yoga trainers are the clients.

We choose to target companies because they require a large part of their employees' time. And we decided to target trainers as well because achieving a position in the market is difficult when they do not yet have a client portfolio.

Sitap monitors the health status of workers and organizes physical activity sessions with specialized trainers. The trainers can use the unused spaces of the companies as the recording studio from which they broadcast their training live

Research and prototyping

We started with semi-structured interviews with fitness trainers and employees to understand what motivates people to exercise and what frictions prevent someone from having an active life. The main reasons why people did physical activity were: the social context (friends or relatives who motivate them) and the desire to have good physical condition in the future.

Having created our scenario and developed the first version of the service concept, we started validating and learning more about the wishes and fears of potential users through prototyping specific aspects of the service . We carried out several tests that included service walkthrough to obtain feedback about the service experience, card sorting to understand which places and activities they prefer to do, role playing to observe the behavior of people when using the service.

Maps and blueprints

In the following images you can see the interactions between the different actors of the service.

Sitap makes it easy for employees who work from home to exercise through a platform that broadcasts training sessions live . These sessions are live to maintain the essence of ephemerality of an in-person training. in order for people to have the proper posture in each exercise, they receive feedback through computer vision.
